CEUs: The University of Missouri-St. Louis, Missouri Institute for Mental Health will be responsible for this program and maintain a record of your continuing education credits earned. The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 6.5 clock hours or 7.8 contact hours (.78 CEUs) for this activity. This training includes continuing education units (CEUs) that are supported by an accredited university an accepted by professional licensing boards.

This workshop will focus on the importance of self-care and modeling in our personal and professional lives. We will start by exploring the neuroscience, philosophy, and evolutionary history of modeling to understand why it is so important. Afterwards, we will delve deep into the nature and science of thought, and explore some tools (including physical exercise, relaxation techniques, and reflective exercises) that can help you work on letting go of stress. This course will be interactive and experiential. We won’t just talk about letting go of stress; we will experiment with tools that will help you do so.

Learning Objectives:

  1. To Understand an integrative, whole-person approach to health and well-being.
  2. To understand the importance of modeling and self-care in daily life.
  3. To equip participants with tools and knowledge to work on letting go of stress.
